A dog was stolen from a home near Kimpton and a police are now appealing for information.

The black cocker spaniel was taken from a kennel at the back of a property in Lawrence End Road, Peters Green on Tuesday.

It disappeared between 11am and 2.50pm.

PC Matt Jenkins, who is investigating, said: “The owners have been left extremely distressed by this and I would appeal to anyone who knows of the dog’s whereabouts to contact me immediately.

“I am also keen to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area around the time the dog was taken. I would particularly like to hear from anyone who saw a silver Peugeot driving around.”
