Landlocked Pirton is hosting a rally of vintage and classic cars and motorbikes next week to support the work of lifesaving lifeboat crews around the UK’s coast.
The Hitchin & District branch of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution is running the Pirton Recreation Ground event on Thursday between 4pm and 8pm.
On show will be veteran, vintage and classic cars, motorbikes and bicycles and if you’ve got a prized machine you’d like to put on show there’s no need to book, just turn up on the day.
There is no entry fee but donations to the RNLI will be warmly welcomed.
Music, Morris dancers, tombola, souvenirs and refreshments are all on the programme, and there is plenty of free parking for visitors.
