CHRISTMAS arrived early for one charity shop in Hitchin.
Staff from the Adams children's wear shop in Bancroft walked across to the Save the Children shop in Churchyard with boxes of new clothes worth £2,000.
It was part of Adams' operation clear out to give old stock to needy causes.
Adams' manager Nicola Kane said: "It is all children's stock so we felt it was best for the Save the Children charity shop.
"It is all brand new stock so the shop will be making 100 per cent profit."
Pauline Jackson, a volunteer in the Save the Children shop for the past 8 years, said: "Normally we cannot sell second hand shoes to children but all the goods we have been given are brand new and I am sure will be very popular among young mums.
