EMERGENCY repairs on the slip road northbound at junction 10 of the A1(M) caused traffic chaos during rush hour this morning (Thursday)
The large roundabout at the end of the A507 linking the A1(M) at the Stotfold turn became clogged with traffic as motorists attempting to head north were forced to take a diversion south to junction 9 at Letchworth Gate before they could continue their journey north.
"Nothing is signed properly and nobody knows why the road has been closed," said motorist Guy Holloway, 37, from Baldock, who was attempting to get to work in Northampton.
"You get on to the roundabout and think you can head north and suddenly find it has been blocked off and have to head south. It is a farce.
