Keech Hospice Care, which provides specialist hospice care for children across Hertfordshire, has won the race to be named as Luton Airport's chosen charity over the next two years.

Their victory in an online vote means that the charity can look forward to a bumper bonus thanks to fundraising events at the transport hub, which could add more than £50,000 to the coffers. More than 12,000 people took part in the vote, including singer and songwriter Jamie Cullum, McBusted’s Harry Judd, golfer Ian Poulter and chef Marco Pierre White.

The airport’s Neil Thompson said: “Keech is a fantastic local charity and our staff are excited that the public chose to make it their winner.”
