POLICE are clamping down on thefts of car parts by offering a free service to drivers.

The theft of catalytic converters from light commercial vehicles is on the rise, due to the high price of metal.

That’s why Herts Police is joining up with DAG Autos of Hampden Garage in Kimpton to promote free marking for owners of diesel cars and vans up to 3,500kg in weight.

The service will be provided from Monday.

To take advantage, call the garage on 01438 832924 to arrange an appointment.
