AROUND 70 children were unhurt when the coach they were travelling in was in collision with a Transit van this afternoon (Tuesday).

The accident was on the A505 near the Willow Lane turn on the outskirts of Hitchin. It happened at 1.14pm.

A first report to the police said that the driver of the van suffered an injury when his head banged against the steering wheel.
