A boy has been taken to hospital after getting his arm stuck in a lift mechanism in Letchworth.
Firefighters and an ambulance officer were called to a property in Icknield Way after the incident at about 2.30pm this afternoon.
The Comet understands that the boy – described by the ambulance and fire service as ‘small’ – got his arm stuck between the lift carriage and the wall.
Firefighters helped to release the child’s arm using airbags, after which the ambulance officer treated the boy at the scene.
He was taken to the Lister Hospital in Stevenage for further treatment.
