CLOWNS, face painting, a bouncy castle and a fairground ride were among the attractions on offer to children at a free fun day out.

Children's entertainer David Tomkins and Cheeky Dog were also on hand to keep the kids amused as well as games, sports coaching and refreshments being made available.

The day was organised by North Herts District Council and held at King George V recreation ground in Hitchin.
