Veteran striker moves to Forest Green Rovers
Charlie Griffin has signed for Forest Green Rovers.
The striker was contracted to Stevenage until 2012 after signing an extension to his deal with the club last year, but in recent months it was thought that he wanted a move back to the south west where he has family.
Griffin scored 17 goals in 48 appearances for Boro but spent the second half of last season on loan at Newport County where he bagged three goals in 15 appearances.
It was originally thought that he would sign a permanent deal with Newport, but their interest cooled in the striker who turns 32 next week and he has signed for Rovers instead.
