RESIDENTS will have the opportunity to view plans for the regeneration of Stevenage Town Centre Gardens next week.
On Wednesday, head down to Stevenage Museum between 2.30pm and 7.30pm to meet the design team and view the plans.
The redevelopment, funded by a 2m grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund's Parks for People programme, will begin early next year and is expected to be finished by May 2011.
The project involves installing new play equipment, making improvements to the pond, a new entrance, additional seating and a new sensory garden.
Cllr John Gardner, Stevenage Borough Council's executive member for planning and regeneration, said: "This is an excellent opportunity for people to come along and have a look at the exciting plans we have for the redevelopment of the gardens.
"The council has been working hard with its partners to secure funding and to make sure that we have a plan which preserves the history and heritage of the gardens.
