POLICE officers are touring the community to find out what you think about policing in the area.
The Street Meets will give people the chance to have their say about policing and other community issues as police officers, PCSOs and other local contacts visit each of Stevenage's 13 wards on a monthly basis.
Community Inspector for Stevenage Mark Furnival said: "Sometimes the things that really matter locally seem like they are forgotten or buried under other priorities and this is what we would like to change.
"Although I can't guarantee that every issue you raise will be tackled immediately what I can promise is that we will listen to your concerns and priorities and wherever possible incorporate them into our community safety plans."
The local ward constable and PCSO for each area, along with some members of the locality teams including local councillors and community safety representatives, will be in a vehicle owned by the Stevenage Community Safety Partnership - made up of representatives from the police, Stevenage Borough Council, the Police Authority, Herts County Council and North Herts NHS trust.
Insp Furnival added: "We would like to see as many people as possible at these street meets. Take the time to come and speak to your local community contacts and have your chance to shape the future of policing in your area."
