Celebrations are in order after the completion of improvements totalling £320,000 were made to a Baldock park.
The public are invited to attend a family fun day at Avenue Park from midday until 4pm on Tuesday, which will feature a bouncy castle, arts and crafts activities and face painting to keep the children entertained.
Work to enhance the North Herts District Council-owned land started in 2011 and has included improving the entrance, car parking facilities, youth shelter, lighting and park boundaries.
Visitors have been enjoying the new interactive splashpad, while the sports and social club’s toilet facilities have also been refurbished.
