THE spotlight will be on local musicians, singers, dancers, poets and actors - all performing at Celebrate!!! tomorrow (Friday) at the Gordon Craig Theatre, Stevenage.

Organised by the Stevenage World Forum, this is the fifth Celebrate!!!.

All the acts have volunteered from local groups, and represent the talents and achievements of the town's multi-cultural community.

Dragonfly - 24-year-old Nathan Watson - will be performing an acoustic set.. Dragonfly has performed at every Celebrate!!! show to date. He and his band are making a real impression on the London scene.

Also appearing is Jus Nach, a group of young, local men who mix the traditional Punjabi drum known as a dhol with modern Punjabi rap. They are fast becoming regulars at community events.

Film and TV star Robbie Gee will also be at Celebrate!!! to give his support to the local communities.

Robbie's TV roles include Diane French's boyfriend in EastEnders. His film credits include Snatch, and Pirates of the Caribbean 2.

Executive councillor for community and culture, Sue Myson, said: "Celebrate!!! is one of my favourite events of the year. I really enjoy the entertainment but what I like best of all is seeing different communities come together to produce something so positive."

Stevenage World Forum's Sherma Batson said: "Every year Celebrate!!! is immensely popular and as it's our fifth birthday this year it's going to be something pretty spectacular."
