VANDALS who struck in a town centre are being hunted by police.
Commercial premises windows were smashed and vehicles broken into in Bancroft, Benslow Lane and Chiltern Road, Hitchin.
And police are determined to find those responsible for the criminal damage and thefts.
They have released CCTV footage of three men who they would like to talk to in connection with the incidents.
Assistant investigator Quentin Lane said: “The victims of these crimes have suffered huge inconvenience and cost and it is important we trace the offenders as soon as possible.
“I would like to speak with the three men pictured as part of my inquiries and would ask anyone who recognises them to contact police.
“I am also appealing to anyone who may have any information about what happened to contact police or Crimestoppers anonymously.”
The vandalism happened overnight between April 19 and 20.
Call the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference number G1/13/833, with information, or contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
