Shoe swapping thieves have left a shop two pairs light.

The theft happened at around 2pm on Thursday, July 10 in the Peacocks store in Central Approach. Two offenders entered the shop, put on a pair of shoes each, placed their old shoes onto a shelf and then left the store without paying for the footwear.

Officers would like to speak to the two women pictured as it is possible they witnessed the incident or have information that could assist them with the investigation.

Anyone who believes they know the identity of the women pictured, or if they recognise themselves, they should contact PCSO Martin Barringer via Hertfordshire Constabulary’s non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference G2/14/1275.
