A CCTV image has been released after a woman was threatened and cash stolen from a newsagent.
Police want to speak to this man following at robbery at Martin’s newsagent at The Oval, Stevenage.
A man approached an employee as she was opening the shop at 4.20am on Friday, threatened her with an unknown item and demanded she hand over cash from the store.
The man made off with the cash which was put into a red drawstring bag.
The woman was unhurt.
Detective sergeant Stuart Murrell, from the Local Crime Unit in Stevenage, said: “I would like to speak to the man pictured in relation to the incident. He was seen in the area at the time and may be able to help with the investigation. Do you know who he is? If so, please call us.
“I’m also releasing a photo of a bag which the suspect made off with. Did you see anyone in the area with the bag pictured? Do you know of someone who has been in possession of a similar bag who may have been involved?”
