A CCTV image of a man has been released today afer a charity box was stolen from a Royal Mail sorting office in Letchworth.

The collection box for military charity Help for Heroes was taken from the counter of the sorting office in Avenue One at some point between 7am on Monday, August 11, and 4.30pm on Wednesday, August 13. It contained about £20 in donations.

Police would like to speak to the man pictured in connection with the theft.

Anyone who recognises the man, or who has information about the theft, is asked to contact PCSO Michelle Trussell on police non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
