Police have released a CCTV image of a woman they would like to speak to as part of an investigation following a theft.

The incident occurred between 12.15pm and 12.30pm on Friday, May 30 in the New Look store in Brand Street, Hitchin.

The offender entered the store and stole a quantity of clothes. After setting off the security alarm she headed in the direction of Bedford Road, discarding some of the clothes on the way.

Officers would like to speak to the woman pictured as she may have witnessed the theft or have information that may assist the investigation.

Anyone who recognises the woman should contact PC Puneet Netar via Hertfordshire Constabulary’s non-emergency number 101, citing crime reference G1/14/1327. Alternatively call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
