A bike was stolen from outside a shop in Hitchin last month, and police have now released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to as part of their enquiries.
The theft happened at around 5.15pm on Thursday, October 11, after the victim parked his bicycle outside Tesco Express in Walsworth Road for a short time.
A police spokeswoman said: “While queuing to pay inside the store, the victim saw a male offender grab his bicycle and ride off in an unknown direction.
“Police would like to speak to the man pictured as he may have information about the theft that could prove useful to the investigation.”
Anyone who recognises him or has any other information that could assist the investigation, is should contact PCSO Stuart Stone by emailing stuart.stone@herts.pnn.police.uk, calling the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference 41/46015/18 or report information online at www.herts.police.uk/Report.
