Talented young performers who are keen to build on the success of a First World War-themed show earlier this year are now hard at work on their next production – and you can join them.

Through a Child’s Eye was a big hit for the Letchworth Young People’s Company youth performance group when it was performed at the Da Vinci Hall in May under the direction of award-winning West End choreographer Omar F Okai.

But now the focus is on new production Omnis Spiritus, to be staged in June next year.

This show takes its inspiration from the darker side of the world with choreographed dances, songs and a complete script all written by the members of the group.

Rehearsals are already under way at Letchworth Arts Centre, and auditions will be held over coming weeks for the few remaining characters left to be cast. There will also be auditions for singers and dancers.

If you’d like to know more, just head along to the centre in The Arcade on Saturdays during term time between 12.30pm and 3pm.

Members of the company range in age from 10 to 24 and share an enthusiasm for performing and creating a theatre piece combining film, music, dance and narrative. There is a fee of £4 a week for rehearsals.
