Cash stolen in Hitchin travel agent robbery

A HITCHIN travel agent was robbed this afternoon (Tuesday), with the offenders making off with a sum of money.

Police were called to Thomson’s on Hitchin High Street at 2.48pm following reports of a robbery.

Two offenders are believed to have threatened staff and made off from the scene with a sum of money. No-one was injured in the incident.

A police spokesman said that a cordon had been put up around the store while police carried out initial investigations.
