Stevenage are set to host United September 21
Carlisle United have parted company with manager Greg Abbott.
Stevenage’s opponents in a fornight (September 21) have taken just two points from their first six matches this season and lost 1-0 to Port Vale on Saturday.
Abbott was the third longest-serving manager in English football, having been at the club since 2008.
A club statement said: “Unfortunately the continued dip in attendances, in direct relation to results, left all parties with no other option than to reach this conclusion.”
