A DRIVER has been taken to hospital after her car flipped over onto its roof.

The incident happened outside The Granby pub on North Road in Stevenage at about 2.30pm this afternoon (Friday).

All three emergency services were called to the scene where a green Fiat Cinquecento was across the road, on its roof.

Two people were involved - a female suffered injuries and was taken to Lister Hospital and another person was given first aid at the scene.

It is believed a second car was involved but these reports are unconfirmed.

Police closed the road for about an hour while the vehicle was recovered.
