Boro drawn against Tractor Boys in Teddy Sheringham’s first cup game in charge of the club

Stevenage will play Ipswich Town in the Capital One Cup first round.

The draw, made this morning, will see Teddy Sheringham’s Boro travel to Portman Road on the week beginning August 10.

The match will take place just a few days after the opening weekend of the new League Two season, Sheringham’s first in charge of the club.

Boro and Championship side Ipswich met in the first round of the competition in 2013/14 with Boro winning 2-0 on home soil thanks to goals from Felipe Morais and Jordan Burrow.
