Stevenage friends tackle period poverty and support St Albans women’s refuge

Sanitary products are being collected for a women’s refuge as part of a campaign to tackle period poverty.
Stevenage friends Sanya Masood and Sophie Harrold are collecting donations for the St Albans and Hertsmere Women’s Refuge.
They set up a charitable initiative called A Bloody Good Cause in 2015 in response to The Homeless Period - a campaign raising awareness of the lack of government provision of sanitary products to homeless shelters and refuges.
Since then they have delivered thousands of donations to organisations across the country and this is now their 11th campaign.
To donate, email firstname.lastname@example.org or get in touch via ABGC’s Facebook page.
A charity quiz will also be held at Letchworth’s St Francis’ College at 7.30pm on April 27 and entry is a donation of sanitary products or £5 on the door. Email to confirm your place.
