UILDING product and tool supplier Toolstation has started a search to site a major new trade counter in Stevenage as part of its new expansion programme.
"Our requirements in Stevenage are quite specific," said Philip MacLauchlan of Toolstation, responsible for this expansion.
"We require premises of between 4,000 and 8,000 sq ft with car parking and loading facilities.
"We are really keen to open in Stevenage as soon as possible, so we are working fast. We are realistic about the rents we will have to pay and our confidence in this market enables us to consider good length leases, including 10 year leases where appropriate incentives are provided."
There will be a minimum of four jobs created for a new trade counter, and this could well be as high as eight depending on the actual location. The positions will be completely new in the area.
