A countywide programme of free group walks which aim to get people stepping towards a healthier lifestyle has just announced its timetable for the first part of 2015.
The Herts County Council Countryside Management Service project offers walks which range from 30 to 90 minutes in duration, led by trained and insured leaders and graded to suit all abilities.
There are more than 50 free weekly walks across the county and you don’t need to book – just visit the website, register online and turn up for any walk that takes your fancy.
If internet access is difficult, leaders can register a new walker a few minutes before any walk begins.
