A MEMBER of staff at Aragon Housing Association, which provides housing in Comet country, has won a major award.
Nicola King, Aragon's youth participation officer, has won the Tenant Liaison Officer of the Year category in the Midlands heat of Tenant Participation Advisory Service Connecting People Awards and she is now a finalist in the national award ceremony to be held in August.
Nicola has worked tirelessly with young people in Mid Beds on anti-social behaviour projects, organised social activities and events including summer schemes, arranged intergenerational projects where young and older people get together for activities, set up young people's groups such as dance classes, skate clubs and youth groups and formed the Aragon youth panel.
Aileen Evans, managing director of Aragon said: "We are very proud of Nicola and what she has achieved. Her work is well regarded locally and it is great to see her getting the wider recognition she deserves.
