Vehicles used in the construction of the Olympic Games will be a regular sight in Stevenage after a plant hire company announced it will open for business on Monday.
Blythewood Plant Hire, which bought by Bridgemere Tractors following the collapse of parent company Doyle in June, will open for business on Wedgewood Gate industrial site, hiring out trucks and diggers.
Around a quarter of Bythewood’s equipment, some of which was used on the London Olympic facilities, will be leased from the site, while the rest, worth nearly 4m has been sold off. A final sale will take place in Welwyn GC on September 7 and 8.
