Come and join us and enjoy a spell in the spotlight – that’s the invitation from members of Stevenage’s Lytton Youth Theatre, who are getting set for a new production.

The show will be staged early next year, but the work starts now – beginning with a workshop session at the group’s Vardon Road base this afternoon.

The group’s David Slade said this week: “Are you interested in acting, singing and dancing? Are you aged between eight and 18?

“If the answer is yes, then maybe the Stevenage Lytton Youth Theatre is for you.

“We meet for drama workshops every Sunday and we are just about to start working on our musical production for 2016.

“Membership is only £36 per year and there are no other hidden costs.

“We do not ask for show fees, fees for workshops or even insist you have a Lytton Youth T-shirt.

“Our aim is to let youngsters in Stevenage learn stage craft, improve confidence, learn how to work as a team and to have fun!”

Today’s workshop session runs for members and potential new recruits runs from 4pm to 7pm.
