The new chief executive at Hertfordshire’s largest social landlord has started work – and says there are exciting times ahead.
North Hertfordshire Homes boss Gavin Cansfield will oversee the organisation’s operations across Herts and Beds and also be responsible for the successful market sales subsidiary Rowan Homes.
As well as providing family housing, North Hertfordshire Homes works with homeless people, provides specialist housing for older people and is working on the regeneration of John Barker Place on Hitchin’s Westmill estate. Gavin, who previously managed homes in London and has almost 30 years experience in the field, said: “I’m really excited. The reason I love working in housing is its ability to transform people’s lives. We already do some great work and I want to build on it.”
