A school had to close this afternoon after a water pipe burst.
Samuel Whitbread Community College in Clifton were due to send 1,500 pupils home at 1.30pm.
The school decided it would be impossible to continue with lessons as engineers were scheduled to turn off water supplies to the school before attempting to mend the burst pipe.
The school also said all after-school activities had also been cancelled.
