A man has been charged with burglary after an electrical goods theft in Biggleswade.

Shaun Burrows, of Clarenden Street in Bedford, has been charged following the alleged theft from Homebase on the town’s A1 retail park on November 20, as well as a separate burglary from a house in Bedford’s Dudley Street on January 26.

The 40-year-old – who was arrested as part of Operation Maze, Bedfordshire Police’s campaign against burglary and robbery – has been remanded in custody ahead of a future court appearance.
