BURGLARS who broke into a house yesterday (Wednesday) stole a car parked outside the property they targeted.
Herts police were alerted at 1.13pm to reports of a burglary at a house in School Lane, Offley.
It is believed the offender or offenders forced entry via a rear window and made a search of the property sometime between midday and 1pm.
The burglars then stole a black Range Rover parked outside the property and made off in an unknown direction.
A police spokesman said: “Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time should call police on the non-emergency number 101. Alternatively call the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
