A broken down train in Baldock has resulted in major delays this morning.

The 07.56 service from Cambridge to London King’s Cross broke down shortly before arriving at the platform in Baldock.

The train remains on the line, reducing the number of Great Northern lines for other trains to operate on.

Disruption for passengers is expected to continue until midday – as some services may be cancelled, delayed or revised.

Engineers are currently assisting in getting the train moved as quickly as possible, and Greater Anglia are conveying passengers via any reasonable route until further notice.
