Stevenage striker is the fifth player to leave the club in recent days

Oumare Tounkara has joined Grimsby Town on loan.

The striker, who has failed to score in seven starts for Stevenage this season, has joined the Conference side on loan until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old, who was made available for loan earlier this month, is the fifth player to leave the club within 10 days as manager Graham Westley looks trim costs and make room for a signing of his own.

Westley mentioned last week that there was something akin to a mini revolution going on at the club, and Tounkara joins Greg Tansey (Inverness Caledonian Thistle, free), Ben Chorley (Portsmouth, free), Dani Lopez (Barnet, loan) and James Dunne (St Johnstone, loan) in departing the club in recent days.
