Departing Boro star George Boyd is excited at the prospect of continuing his football education.
The 21-year-old was a regular for the England National Game XI, the non-league representative side, in 2006 but has never played in the League before.
Boyd said: "I want to prove myself as a League player.
"It's a silly amount to pay for a Conference player but I'll do my best to show I'm worth it.
"The chairman (Phil Wallace) has been brilliant with me and kept me informed.
"Stimmo has also been great this season and has moved my game forward.

Boyd's increased goal output continued as he scored twice in the 3-2 home win over Aldershot - his final appearance in a Boro shirt at Broadhall Way - on New Year's Day.
"The win at home to Aldershot was a great way to see the boys off and I was quite choked at the end," he admitted.
