A FIVE-YEAR-OLD boy sparked a rescue operation this afternoon (Wednesday) when his leg became stuck under a roundabout in a children's playground.
Paramedics and firefighters were called to the play area at Fairlands Valley Park in Stevenage at 1.47pm.
Student ambulance paramedic Debbie Van Hogermeer, who attended the scene, said: "The young lad was enjoying the school holidays in the playground when his leg became stuck.
"Paramedics and firefighters were able to free him and amazingly he had no injuries. After a check up, he did not require to go to hospital.
