Last week saw the men's section progress to the next round of the Pell Shield when they had a comfortable victory against Bedford, they now play Fairfield or Queen's works in the next round. It was a reasonable week in the East Beds League for the men with the A team losing by one shot to Sandy Conservative Club B team. The B team won by one shot against Flitwick C and the C team had a comfortable victory against Sandy Town. In the ladies East Beds games the A team lost to Langford and the B team beat Stotfold A team. Saturday saw the men beat Dixonians by 81 shots to 67 with all four rinks winning. The highest winning rink was Len Dolby, Dennis Stevens, Stan Potter and Vic King .The ladies lost at home to Luton Coop. Sunday saw the club play a mixed triples game against Holwell and lose by 90 shots to 78. The club had one winning rink of Mike Hammond, Bob Izzard and Stan Potter.
