Last week Janet Northern travelled to Daventry to play the Warwickshire County over 55 championships and suffered disappointment, having lost by 21 shots to 16, however she gave a good account of herself. She wants to thank the supporters who travelled to support her including Beds County officials. Last week saw the men's section progress to the next round of the Pell Shield when they had a comfortable victory against Bedford; they now play Fairfield or Queens Works in the next round. It was a reasonable week in the East Beds League for the men with the A team beating second place Sandy Town A comfortably by 29 shots. The B team won a vital clash at the bottom of the table when they beat Ampthill by 7 shots. The C team was unable to make it three out of three when they went down at St Andrews. In the ladies East Beds games the A team beat Henlow by 5 shots and the B team lost badly to Stotfold B.
