Had set backs in the East Beds League last week, in the men s section the A team lost their champion of champions semi final at a heavy and wet Stotfold green by 7 shots. The ladies section A team game was postponed against Biggleswade and the B team lost

Had set backs in the East Beds League last week, in the men's section the A team lost their champion of champions semi final at a heavy and wet Stotfold green by 7 shots. The ladies section A team game was postponed against Biggleswade and the B team lost their top of the table clash in division three by two shots to Ampthill. This defeat together with Stotfold forfeiting their game against Biggleswade meant Shefford B finished third in the league losing out on shot difference from finishing second.On Saturday the men went down to a strong Whitethorn side by 32 shots however they did have a winning rink of Colin Crouch, Jessica Ford, John Batcheldor and Bob Nicholson. The ladies won their game at Biggleswade. Sunday's game at Luton Co-op was cancelled. Monday saw the Captain's Day with 32 members taking part and after various competitions the winners were Carol Rooker, Margaret Bucknell, John Batcheldor and Richard Ford. The club would like to thank Jean King and Margaret Bucknell for providing excellent teas for the occasion
