FA Cup win over Newcastle United sees Stevenage nominated for Outstanding Performance gong
BORO are up for the Outstanding Team Performance gong at the Football League Awards 2011.
Stevenage’s FA Cup Third Round win over Newcastle United in January is one of three matches that have been shortlisted for the prize.
The other two games up for the award are Northampton Town’s League Cup Third Round win over Liverpool at Anfield and Watford’s 6-0 win over Millwall in the Championship.
The Football League Awards is an annual ceremony celebrating on and off pitch excellence across the League’s 72 clubs and the winners will be announced at the gala evening at The Brewery, London, on Sunday, March 20.
