Boro boss Graham Westley is sweating on the fitness of three regular first team players ahead of Saturday's trip to Port Vale in the FA Cup first round.
Darren Murphy (collarbone), Lee Boylan (knee) and Andy Drury (knee) are all major doubts ahead of the tie.
"They are going to be touch and go," Westley told The Comet. "To be honest I doubt whether I will get any of them back in time.
