STEVENAGE Borough will start the new season with a home tie against Tamworth on Saturday, August 8, after the fixture list was announced this morning (Friday).
It is the first home tie on the opening day of the season for four years after away trips to Wrexham, Crawley and Altrincham in recent seasons.
After the Tamworth tie Graham Westley's will then make trips to Hayes and Yeading United (August 11) and Barrow (August 15) before their next home game against Ebbsfleet United on Tuesday, August 18.
Other dates for Boro fans' diaries include an away trip to local rivals and Blue Square Premier favourites Luton Town on Tuesday, September 29, a Christmas bumper of games against Cambridge United away (Boxing Day), AFC Wimbledon at home (December 28) and Cambridge United at home (New Year's Day), and a long journey to new boys Gateshead on March 20.
The run in at the end of the season sees Boro take on Luton at home (April 3), AFC Wimbledon away (April 5), Forest Green Rovers at home (April 10), Kidderminster Harries away (April 17) before a home tie against York City on the last day of the season (April 24).
