BORO'S FA Trophy game against York City on May 9 will be the first match played on a new Wembley turf which is set to be laid in the next ten days.
Wembley today announced they are going to bring forward the replacement of the existing pitch following criticism from all fronts after the two FA Cup semi-finals last weekend.
Wembley Stadium has said it has conducted a review of the playing surface, subsurface conditions and its pitch maintenance programme and the replacement pitch will be "from a new turf nursery and will be of a different composition that is better suited to Wembley Stadium's unique environment".
