Jimmy Gilligan hands his notice in just nine months after joining the club
BORO’s head of youth Jimmy Gilligan has resigned from his position at the club just nine months after taking up the post.
The resignation will be a blow for Boro whose capture of Gilligan, a former Cardiff City and Swansea City footballer as well as a former England U21s scout, was considered as something of a coup.
During his time with the club, Gilligan saw his U18s youth side post some promising results but the side does not have a permanent home and has had to play its games at a variety of locations including Arlesey Town, Met Police Bushey and Parmiter’s School, Garston, near Watford.
The club has advertised the post on its website.
