Former Stevenage manager talks about the original Stevenage v Newcastle FA Cup game
October 29 is Boro Memories Day when the Lamex Stadium will be turned into a multi-roomed recording studio as a team from the University of Hertfordshire will seek to create an ‘instant oral history’ of the club.
Fans of all ages plus Boro staff past and present will be encouraged to come along and have their memories of great Boro moments and seasons recorded for posterity in sound. They can also bring memorabilia for scanning or photographing.
Here, former Stevenage manager Paul Fairclough recalls one of his favourite memories - Stevenage’s 1998 FA Cup duel with Newcastle United.
