Stevenage are currently in talks with Freddy Eastwood.
The Welsh international striker, whose contract with Coventry City runs out this summer, is also in talks with Southend United, where he spent a spell on loan last season.
The 28-year-old striker counts Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Ham United among his former clubs.
