The Comet understands that Stevenage have spoken with Graham Westley and Paul Dickov about the post
Stevenage hope to have a new manager in place in time for Monday’s home game against Hartlepool United.
Graham Westley remains the bookmakers’ favourite for the position, which if it happens would see the former Boro manager return to the club for a third stint in charge.
The Comet understands that the club has spoken with Westley about the vacancy as well as ex-Oldham Athletic boss Paul Dickov, while ex-Luton Town manager Paul Buckle’s name has also been linked with the post.
Boro captain Mark Roberts, who took control of the side in the defeat at Tranmere at the weekend, is likely to remain in charge for Friday’s trip to Crawley.
